We turn the claims you market into evidence that survives institutional due diligence: the architecture, the narrative, and the proof behind every line of it.
What we offer
Build the system.
The impact framework your fund runs on: a thesis, a theory of change, and a KPI set with a baseline, a target and a named data source behind every number. Mapped once across SFDR, the EU Taxonomy and TNFD.
Make it investable.
The case you take to market and the evidence file behind it: the narrative for your deck and PPM, a DDQ answer bank referenced to real documents, and a mock LP diligence. The hard questions get asked here first, not in the room.
Keep it working.
A senior impact lead inside your team on set days each month. We hold the framework as regulation moves, run the monitoring cycle, write the LP reporting, and take the call when an answer has to hold up.
Start here
A clear view of where you stand, what holds up, and where to strengthen.
An advisor-led review of your fund's impact proposition: the claims you make, the evidence behind them, and the distance between the two. We work from your data room and two or three interviews. You fill in nothing. Two weeks later you hold a written verdict, a ranked account of what stands between you and the LPs you are targeting, and a ninety-day path to close it.
The evidence ladder
Not defined at all, or defined only as a label.
On paper. A policy or method exists; nothing proves it is used.
Visibly in use: completed screens, IC papers, reports.
Provable. A named document in the data room demonstrates it.
We report the weakest link, not the average. LP diligence is a sequence of knockouts, not a weighted score.
What you receive
One readiness level and one paragraph, without hedging.
Every claim you market, tested against what your data room actually proves.
Three deals read in full: best case, typical, stress case.
Family office, fund-of-funds, institutional, pension, DFI.
Where you stand today, and the SFDR 2.0 delta ahead of you.
Every gap with severity, effort, horizon and owner attached.
The Amberline method
The Amberline Method is the impact framework a fund operates on: the thesis, the KPI logic, the data behind each number, and the governance that sets who decides and who signs off. It is built as one connected system, so the same evidence answers an investment committee paper, an LP’s due diligence questionnaire, an SFDR disclosure and a TNFD response, rather than each being prepared from scratch.
We build it two ways. Where a diagnostic has run, its findings set the order of work: we start with the weakest links and move down the list. Where a fund is starting fresh, a first fund, a new strategy, or a mandate that has just changed, we build all five steps from the ground up. Either way the framework stays yours, documented and owned by your team.
Where you stand today. Strategy, portfolio, evidence and regulatory position, scored.
Impact thesis, theory of change, intentionality and additionality logic.
KPIs, baselines, targets, data architecture and verification.
Impact in IC decisions, portfolio, impact risk, incentives and exits.
Roles, oversight, decision trail and LP reporting across regimes.
Good impact is not just about doing good. It is about proving it, consistently, to the right standard.
Why Amberline
Not advising from the sidelines. Built and defended an Article 9 framework inside a live €50M raise, under EIF scrutiny.
Nature expertise meets investment fluency. Biodiversity and natural capital to TNFD standard, without the greenwash.
Impact has to survive the person whose job is to find the hole in it. We build the architecture, and the evidence behind every line.
Built once to hold across IC papers, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, TNFD and LP diligence, instead of rebuilt for each audience.
Both sides of the table
On the manager's side of the table.
Building and defending an Article 9 impact framework inside a live €50M raise, managing LP relationships, DDQs and EIF scrutiny first-hand. Deep expertise in SFDR, EU Taxonomy, natural capital and biodiversity finance. She knows what earns an allocator's confidence in an impact story and what quietly loses it.
LinkedInThe other side of that table.
Placing private capital with the investors: UHNW families, endowments and foundations. As Managing Director and Head of Private Markets at Deutsche Bank he raised several billion dollars and served twelve years on the board and audit committee of Deutsche Bank Trust Company. He knows what makes allocators commit and what makes them walk away.
LinkedInTwo perspectives. One standard: investment-grade impact.
